ATTITUDE

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it, and so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes!

SCROOGE!!!! The 3 month practicing and 3 day performance is finally over and God did a tremendous work. The Gospel was preached and many people filled the alters every night. Big, huge thanks to Mrs. Debbie Watkins, Debbie Howard, Sue Grise, Mitch Grise, Jon Kelly, and every single person who worked on stage and behind the scenes! "The Gospel According to Scrooge", was full of it's grand flair, Holiday tradition and dazzle as always, and did I mention we took FIRST AT THE PARADE OF LIGHTS, 3RD YEAR IN A ROW! Geez, ya think they would announce that somewhere but it's alright, our treasure is in Heaven!

More than 700 people!

More than 700 people walked through the front doors of Victory World Outreach on Friday night and ate free food to their hearts content and 130 left those same doors with Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior! It was an awesome night, a night to remember. Thanks to everyone in Breakaway who helped in every area!

This year's trip was a blast! Sorry I don't have more pictures of different people, but it's hard to hold your phone and take pictures with huge gloves on in the cold :) I will try and find more though. Anyway, everyone had a blast...a few people got hurt though. Chad ended up with a busted wrist, which will heal soon! Stephen ended up with a slight concussion, Robert a major headache and a few other people...but don't think snowboarding is completley dangerous lol it's really fun I promise. Thanks Jb & Gail for taking us!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving here in the C Springs! Breakaway put on our yearly Thanksgiving dinner and 400 people came out and many went to the altar to give their lives to Jesus! There was tons of food, and tons of people! Be on the look out for posts about the Christmas holiday....we are working 24/7 for the Parade, for Scrooge and for the kids play! Can't wait!

MY TESTIMONY

I was thinking the other day about the Great Commission and how we are called to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel" and how your testimony is your most powerful weapon. For the few years that I have been saved, I haven't shared my testimony with as many people as I should. But that's changed.

So here it is... I am 18 years old, soon to be 19. I have grown up in church my whole life. I have always known the truth because my pastor and the people in my life have always told it like it is and never watered it down. At a young age I had a sensitive heart for God, I had child-like faith and believed that anything was possible, and wasn't afraid of what people thought. Things started to change when I got older though. The devil had it out for me, and slowly I was introduced to things and people that I shouldn't of been introduced to. My life at home was good, really good, but a few traumatic things happened and continued on through the years. But it ended at an abrupt halt one day.

I remember leaving school early one day because my parents called me home. I knew that one of my relatives or someone had passed away, but I was in my own world and didn't really care. Little did I know what awaited me at home. It rocked my world. My older brother took his life at the age of 17. I was only 13 years old at the time. I thought I had problems then, but this changed everything. My heart was cold before, but after everything it became colder, I became hard and lifeless on the inside. I never showed emotion, never talked to anyone about anything. I can't even begin to explain everything that I felt, or everything that happened. I used to think that I was crazy, but it was the devil lying to me, trying to take me in. And he almost had me.

It took three years of confusion, constant fear and worry to come humbly on my knees before God. I remember the day I was saved, it was a Wednesday night at church. Not a special service, or a revival, just church. I remember thinking in that service that I was sick of myself, sick of my life and sick and tired of being so confused all the time. And I knew that I was headed for a devils hell if I didn't change, so I made up in my mind that I was getting saved when he pulled that alter call, and I did. I don't remember what I prayed or said, I didn't hear a chorus of angels shouting Hallelujah, I just remember thinking to myself, "your never going to be the same again". I was 16 years old.

And since then, I haven't been the same. I thank God so much for all that He has done for me and in me, word's can't explain. It still brings tears to my eyes to think of his unconditional love for me, and how He set me free from guilt of the past and fear of the future. I don't have to worry about what comes next because my life is in the hands of the Living God.

Jesus Christ is real. When you get saved, it's like God opens your eyes to everything around you. People can't tell me that there isn't a God, or that maybe there is, but He is not for everyone, it is just a religion. NO, if only you knew what He has done for me and so many lives around me, you would know that there is a God. That He is the Creator of the Universe, and that He sent His one and only Son, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, to be a sacrifice for all of mankind. He took the consequence of our sins on His back, so we wouldn't have too. What a wonderful Savior.

You can have that peace today, you can have that joy and assurance of Eternal life. You can have the satisfaction in knowing that you are called to something great. You can have Jesus there for you, when no one else is and when no one understands, He will ALWAYS understand and love you unconditionally. All you have to do is ask Him into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior. And let Him lead you all the days of your life. Salvation is not just for certain people, it is for everyone. You don't have to clean yourself up for Him to love you, come as you are. He will heal and restore everything that hurts and has been lost to you, that's one of his promises to us. Joel 2:25-26

My Savior, my hope, my life, my Jesus and my everything. That's what He is to me. Know you know why I call myself "Jesus Freak". I give all that I am to Him, because He gave everything for me. I WILL go to ends of the Earth to proclaim Jesus. This is my life, I AM A FANATIC.

Harvest Carnival

"HELL HOUSE"

This year's Harvest Carnival was a complete success! We had hundreds of people come through, lot's of candy and crazy costumes. The "Hell House" was awesome, the line to get in didn't end until 10PM. At the end of the night 45 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ! All of our work, money and prayers were worth it. Everyone did an awesome job in the haunted house and the carnival, thanks for all your work! We were tired and wore out, but 45 people makes it all go away. I'm happy we did it, and I had a blast in the haunted house. (Sorry for the scary pics, but you had to see what everyone else saw)

Cortez

We just got back from doing the Broken play in Cortez, CO last night. And a 12 hour drive and a day later we are all tired and feel like our heads are going to explode today, but the drive was worth it. We left extremely early Saturday morning and began our 6 hour trip. We made it in good time and arrived at the school at about 1PM. Then the setting up and practicing started, the play was at 7PM that night. After practicing we headed to prayer and then the play began. The auditorium was full, and at the end of the night 38 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ! Then the next morning ten people from the play showed up to Sunday morning service at Pastor Bland's church! After Sunday morning service we ate lunch, that's where most of the pictures are from (Thank you Mrs. Rosyln for letting me use some of them!) and the rest are from my phone on the van. So sorry there are no pics from the actual performance, like I said, my camera is broken :( But I made a way! And people were saved, so that's all that really matters! After lunch we started our other 6 hour trek, which actually turned into 7 1/2 hours...The snow was bad, the passes were extremely bad, so therefore the driving was slow. We were in Kenny's van, so thank you Kenny for driving so well...at times...and not killing us :) Wolf Creek Pass was a breeze, but Levita pass really got us. We heard from the townspeople that there was a 50 car pile up! The pass was down hill most of the way on ice, we had three vans and a car and all of us were praying. My parents and a few others left before us and said that there were cars everywhere in the ditches, off the cliffs, I thank God so much that He kept us safe. So we are all back, alive and safe and excited to see the fruit that will come out of this trip. Thank you to Pastor Bland and Mrs. Robin for their kindness and hospitality and same to everyone in Cortez who helped us, you are a blessing!

Welcome JB & Gail! We had a wonderful service last Saturday complete with videos, speeches, brisket and yummy cake :) We are really going to miss Jason & Heidi. They have done so much for us and instilled so much in us. They have been a humongous blessing to our lives! Thank you for all you have done for us, the praying, the counseling, the tears, the fun, the late nights wishing we would shut up and fall asleep, the money, the beatings (haha jk) everything! We are going to take what you have given us and run with it! We'll be praying for you wherever you go and we are behind you 100 percent and more! Keep it real :) We love you!
We are excited for JB & Gail as they take over! Let's be behind them 100 percent and more like we have been. Remember to pray for them and be a help wherever we are needed. God is going to do great, great and mighty things!

Youth Rally

What can I say about the Youth Rally besides that it was FANTASTIC! We all had a blast at Elitches and at the Santistevan's church in Thorton, CO. We started the day off bright and early at VWO in Springs. We then packed into the vans and headed to ELITCHES, we met up with a few more teens from the other churches and then headed off in the park. The day was great, we went on ride after ride. Or some of us not so scared, went on ride after ride :) It was pretty hot, but it worked. The best ride that I went on was the Half-Pipe. The Tower of Doom was fun, but it only lasts like 2 seconds. So it wasn't enough. I think we should start a campaign for scarier and longer rides! Sooooo Elitches was a blast, we were all extremely tired afterwards, but that didn't stop us from hopping in the vans and heading to the Santistevan's church. We got there, prayed and then the concert started. A few visitors came out. The band was rocking out, and so was everyone else. It was loud and energetic, and everyone had a great time! A few people gave their testimony then we had altercall. A couple teens went down and prayed the sinner's prayer! Then we prayed for a teen from the Greeley church who was having some ear problems. After we prayed her ear started to feel better. After all the excitment of the concert we got more excited for the PIZZA! Which was great after a long, long day. So all in all the day was awesome! We got sick to our stomachs, lost our hearing, stuffed ourselves with pizza and then plopped in the vans and headed home :) Thanks Jason and Heidi, van drivers, Santistevan's and everyone else! It was great.

JUMP, JUMP, JUMP for JESUS!

JUMP, JUMP, JUMP for JESUS! GET UP, GET UP!That was the mood of the night this past Saturday. We had our yearly back 2 school concert in youth. All the rap bands joined together and gave us one awesome concert! Teen's were jumping and singing everywhere. Nate even showed us some of his breakdancing moves! Many teens showed up. Jordan, Daniel, EJ and Quincy gave their testimonies. They were all very powerful. The altercall came and a few teens went down to pray. I talked to one girl, and sad to say, she didn't want to go down, but I know a seed was planted. Many seeds were planted at the concert. So, praise God for that! This upcoming Saturday are Jason and Heidi's last youth service with us. We will be up in Denver, CO. at Elitches! Can't wait! But on behalf of everyone in youth, I just want to say to Jason and Heidi that we all love you so very much. You have done so many wonderful things in our youth group and in our lives. You challenge us to keep going and always press forward. I am so excited to see what God is going to do in your lives. Thank you for investing in us, it means the world to us! You don't even know. We love you and will miss you! We are excited to have JB and Gail as our new youth leaders. We're ready and excited for all that God is going to do!

Tag Team Preaching

This past Saturday we had a Holy Ghost filled youth service for sure! But first I have to tell you that at the beginning of service, during the song service, a few of us were a little discouraged at how the service started off and at how little of teens showed up. Everyone was trying their hardest to enter in and get past whatever it was that was holding us back. And it seemed that we weren't going to get past it, but then....the preaching started and it was all over for the devil right there! G.O. started the night off preaching out of 1 Kings 18 when Elijah the prophet called fire down from heaven in front of tons of people who mocked and didn't believe in God. He talked about standing up for God at school and wherever you go no matter what the cost and even in the midst of adversity. He was on fire! Calling sin, sin and letting us know that we need to stand up for God and quit compromising. After G.O, Andrew went up there and preached his heart out. He also read out 1 Kings 18, he talked about how much he wanted to see miracles, signs and wonders in our lives. He said if God could perform miracles for Elijah and all the other people in the Bible then why couldn't God do it for us right here and right now. He also talked about how the devil has planted a deep seed in our youth group and it's been there for so long, but it was time to break it! And in the middle of his preaching he asked who wanted to go witnessing after service and everyone raised their hands! After that Andrew was finished and Josh went up there. He continued in 1 Kings 18 and then pulled the alter call. Two teens went down there to get saved! Then Tyler got up there and pulled a second alter call for different things and more people went down, we sat there and laid a hold of God for a while and then we got up and sang a few songs and you could feel the presence of God. Everyone was fired up! After we prayed and dismissed we all decided we were going to Acacia Park at 8 at night to witness! We got there and about 20 teens came. We all spread out walking up and down the streets handing out tracks, telling people about Jesus and inviting people to church. We had a pretty good response, but there were the few who didn't want to hear it and started arguing with us! But beside all that two people were saved and many seeds were planted and that's all that matters. After our witnessing we headed over to Louie's and ate pizza and cheese bread until we were sick, not really but it was good. So I just want to say that God is good and through Him it is possible to break the devil's stronghold! And that we did, God is moving mightily and anyone who isn't on board I suggest you jump on the train before it passes you by. Because God is going to to the miraculous and we're ready for it!

BROKEN play

The guns and gangsters are not real, so don't worry! This past Saturday we did the "BROKEN" play. It was an all day event, we left here at 8AM and got home at about 11PM. I went home at about 10, so I can't complain. There were two shows, one at 6:30 and the other at 8:30. You can imagine how tired everyone was, but it all paid off at the alter calls. Each alter call there were about 10 people that were saved! The first show about 150 showed up and the second show was a little more I think. The cast and everyone involved did an awesome job! This play is really powerful and touches all types of people. It has been a great success. If you haven't seen it you better find out when the next show is because you don't want to miss out again!
I would also like to say that this play was Eddie B.'s last time performing in it until he comes home from Iraq in one year. He left on Monday, so everyone please keep Eddie, his wife and kids in prayer. Thanks!

Vacations all I've ever wanted....

Vacation of 2007 was wonderful! I hope the pics tell most of the story, because I don't have time to write a lot. But I do have time to write the basics! We left two days after camp and flew to Arizona. We got in at about 4PM Saturday went to dinner and went to bed. Sunday morning we went to Pastor Goulds church, we saw all the teens from camp and they gave their testimonies. It was a great service. Then we got on the road Sunday afternoon in our rental car to Sonora Mexico! It took about 3 hours. Crossed the border and everything! Arrived at our resort and had a blast for 3 and half days! We then left Mexico Wednesday morning and drove to San Diego, California, met up with the Holcombs for dinner and then headed to the hotel. We stayed in California for 3 days. In those three days we went to the beach, the zoo and a really lame water park. It was no where near Water World. We have it good here! But it was okay. We left San Diego Saturday and drove 6 hours back to AZ. LONG DRIVE....arrived in AZ at 3:30 met up with the Gregory's for dinner, then went to check out their new church. It is beautiful! It's nice and big, with two bathrooms and two water fountains! They have it decorated very, very nice. Then Sunday morning came, we went to church, an awesome service! The choir sang two wonderful songs. We went to lunch and then back to church. This was service was great, during song service Chase was sitting with me, and he was worshipping and praying so loud. He put everyone one of us to shame lol. Then at the end we prayed with two young teenage girls for salvation and prayed for the sick. Two people were healed of back problems and bones spurs. After service we went to the Gregory's and had the tradition, KFC. It was fun, even though I fell asleep at about 11PM :) Monday morning came and it was off to the airport. CHAOS...perfect word to sum up the airport part. Getting lost, bad weather, tons of people, 2 hour delay, weird people talking to us. It was crazy, but we made it home safe thank God. The first faces to greet us were Jess, P. Mohrmann, and Chris Williams. Thanks for picking us up Chris! And that is the end of a much needed, fun, exhausting, totally worth it vacation!

CAMP 2007 "PURSUIT OF DESTINY"

Camp is almost here everyone! And I just wanted to write a post to encourage everyone who is going to camp and for those who aren't going (meaning anyone who wants and needs God to move, especially parents of teens that are going) to pray, pray, pray. I have been to many camps over the years, and God has touched me at every one. It has never been a waste. But it is not all about camp, it's about the lives of those who go, and about what we do when we come back. Camp is what you make it out to be. If you go expecting things to stay the same, and expecting no one to change then it will be the same and no one will change. I personally cannot wait for camp this year. I am expecting God to move in a way that we have never seen, felt, or heard before. This past few months we truly have been seeing God's hand at work in the Springs church and all the fellowship churches. Because we have become desperate, but we need more, I need more! Revival is coming if it's not already here, and I praise God for it! When I pray I know that BY FAITH God is going to move. God has been speaking to me a lot about desperation lately. And how we need to be completely desperate for Him. I want to see so much more than ever before! The only way we are going to see it is if we pray. DON'T LIMIT GOD to what we can only see, God is bigger than camp, He is bigger than your circumstances. He can move in your life if you ask Him too. You can limit God by your doubt. In Psalms 78:19 the Israelites limited God by their doubt while they were in the desert and God became angry with them. He did all these miracles and still they doubted Him! I can't understand that. I for one do not want to doubt God this year. I do not want to see the same thing we have seen every year. I don't want it to be even close to before. I am writing this post to try and encourage all of you who read this to please pray with me. I hope that I'm not the only one who is desperate for God, and the only who is praying. I am more than ready for this, I have more faith than ever before. God isn't going to pass us by. Get on fire, cause I am!

CD Bashing and Easter of '07

This past Saturday we had a CD bashing service in youth. A few teens brought in their Cd's, one teen brought in over 20! We set the stage up, had some music going and then the smashing started. Cd's were flying everywhere the girls and the guys did it. We thought the guys were going to smash through the stage. But it was a good service, good to see all those secular Cd's getting smashed up like they should be in the first place!

We no doubt had a Colorado Easter this year, complete with freezing rain, wind and snow!!! Seriously, it's like the cold weather here never ends! It's nice one day and then blizzarding like today! The snow started last Friday and lasted until Sunday. We didn't see the sun for three days! Friday was the worst, on my way to Breakaway we were coming up Academy and it was nothing but ice, we were packed on this bridge that was frozen over, I was at a stand still and I still was sliding! I was freaking out because I was in my new car, and I did not want to get in a wreck! And there was this big Semi next to me, which made me freak out more, but my mom was there to calm me down. It took about 30 min to get to church, usually it takes 15. I was ready to stay the night at church! There were accidents all over the city, they had to close down Circle and some other major streets. But the scary thing was that 15 minutes before on that same part of Academy I was sliding on a car flew over the cliff and the lady died, and then someone else died on Circle. It was horrible, but thank God for his grace! So Monday until yesterday it has been sunny, until now. My mom just came back from King Soopers and she said their were ton's of people there stocking up for this storm!! It's like De ja vue from January, it should be spring! We should change the rally name to Winter Rally instead of spring! But on a lighter note :) Easter Sunday was great, as usual there were tons of people at church, the two time a year church goers you know. The choir did a few songs, Johnny Sanchez gave his testimony and P. Sanchez gave his also. Then Pastor preached, I'm not sure how many people were saved, but I know there were many. I wasn't in service, I'm sorry I don't have the full report for you :( But I know it was awesome! In Sunday school we had like 50 kids, that's just preschool through kindergarten. So Sunday school was a blast with all those sugar-filled kids! Easter was a good day, not just because of all the exciting things that happened, but that Jesus, rose from the dead, and defeated death, hell and the grave, because without that everything we do would be in vain.

God always answers prayer

"My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus!", "Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Philippians 4:19,20. I just want to say that God is a good God, and He hears the prayer of the righteous. Over the past few months I have been looking to buy a new car. I already had one, dear Biscuit, is his name. Biscuit has been so good to me over the year and a half that I've had him, he was my first car, you know how it is with first cars, you gotta love them. He was a complete blessing, even though we've had some interesting times together, I mean very interesting! Biscuit was having some problems and I couldn't drive him for a while, then we got him fixed. This past Wednesday after like 2 months of him working well, he died again!! And started doing the same thing it did before, I got fed up and two hours later we were down looking at a new car, and hour later bought the car, and now I'm riding in luxury. Lol according to me, I love my new car, it is beautiful! Biscuit was an '87 Honda Accord, now I have a '96 Honda Accord, candy apple red :) God blessed me with this car, if I told you the whole story you'd be amazed. But that isn't the end, the same Wednesday we had a buyer for Biscuit (he was working). So I bought a new car and got a buyer for my old car all in one day! It wasn't by the people I knew, or how much money I had, it was by God's favor and that alone. I have been praying and praying and God answered my prayer, right on time. He is always right on time, it may not be when you want it to come, but He's always right on time. "As for God, His way is perfect." Psalms 18:30. I just wanted to share with everyone my testimony and remind them that God STILL answers prayer!

Last Saturday we had an outreach to the Rada's new church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They had 68 people! And 8 packed vans! I wasn't able to go, but from the report I heard they passed out 3,000 flyer's! They crammed 68 people, plus their family into their one level house! I heard it was freezing and windy, but still a great outreach. Can't wait to hear the report of their Sunday morning service!

This month we had our yearly
"Band Wars". We had a whopping 183 people, 97 visitors and 8 people saved! The place was packed, people were sitting on the floor, sitting in chairs and standing in the back. Jason started the night off with his trombone, or whatever he played. I'm not musically knowledgeable when it comes to instruments, except for the basics, sorry Jason! Then after Jason we had 23 different bands! Tyler sang "The Big Thr3e" theme song with his acoustic guitar, we had violins, violas, rock bands, rap bands, some teens pulled out a stomp, and many more! But the winner of the night wasn't even a band! Tim Watkins came out in a banana costume dancing wildly to some song that said, "peanut butter jelly and a baseball bat!" OVER AND OVER again. He through mini light up maracas into the audience, everyone was laughing, and then Joel came out and beat him with a yellow baseball bat! It was crazy. He won a 13 inch T.V. that probably doesn't even work lol, and the runners up which were the Pueblo band and Josh, Justin, Jennifer and G.O.'s band won prizes from Chick-fil-a. We are so excited to see that so many new people came out, and even more excited for the people who answered the altar call! Praise God for revival! After youth like 25 people went to Red Robin and probably caused the waitresses major stress because there were so many of us, but we did tip! The night was great, I can't wait to see that many people in youth every Saturday, but we have to keep praying!

God is doing great things! Miracles are happening left and right! We had another Baptismal service, more than 10 people were baptized. Brianna got baptized and gave a good testimony(sorry her pic is so blurry), Richard Whiting was baptized, Johnny Sanchez and many more. We are all so excited to see Johnny back, he is on fire for God! He gave his testimony in youth a few weeks ago, and it touched so many teens! Then last Wednesday youth took over the song service, with the musicians, the choir, the singers and everything. The youth choir stood in the choir loft. It's a funny picture because we all look so small in the choir loft. But it went great! Then Chris Kelly preached an awesome message! You could feel the spirit of God moving, it was a great service! Also, Sunday School has been going great! I don't have any pictures, which I will take some later, but I don't write about Sunday School too much, so I thought I would fill you in. We completely changed the entire curriculum, now everyone is involved. We are always on stage telling a story, taking an offering or playing some wild game. No one is ever just sitting down, everyone is active. Corey and Dana are doing an excellent job! Something great and different is happening here at church and in the city! Outreaches lately have been so exciting, we are always running into people who are open to the gospel, or the crazies who don't want to hear it, or want to argue. I always look forward to Saturday morning outreach, it's always a challenge and always fun! Never dull! For those who go the Springs church here, I've got to tell you, you are missing out!! Well there's a C Springs update somewhat! And the pic with Jenna and Nicole is for our international friends Jess and Lain and their families. I knew you'd wanna see her new hair do!

Teens taking over Baptismal!

On 11th we had 8 teens get baptized!!! It was so encouraging to see all those teens get up there, share their testimony and get baptized. They all did a great job! They come to every service and are getting involved, thought everyone who has been praying for the teens and the church would like to see the fruit of their prayers :)

Winter Weekend

Winter Weekend started Saturday morn as the VWO teens, Pueblo teens, and Las Animas teens met at church at 9AM and got into the vans and headed up to Casa Bonita of Denver. The ride up there was an adventure indeed, from car accidents causing major traffic, to dirty van windshields with no wiper fluid, to windshield wipers flying off our van while we were on the highway! To stopping at two gas stations to get it together! It was fun :) The Greeley teens met us there. We stood in line for a while ordered our food and then sat down to eat. After we ate most of the teens went to the haunted house, or the arcade, or watched the guy dive into the water over and over again LOL. Tim Watkins thought it would be funny to hide in the haunted house with his ugly monkey mask on and freak people out, which he succeeded in scaring everyone. If you look closely at the group picture he has it on. We left Casa Bonita at 3 in think and got to church at 4, we started service at about 4:15. The song service was good, the overhead went out before service so we had no words, but it was still great! Jason preached a good message on "Change", he used the verse 2 Corinthians 5:17. The service was really good, a lot of teens went down to the altar to get saved, or just pray. The night was done early at like 5:30, everyone headed home to prepare for service the next morning and then SNOWBOARDING! :)

Now snowboarding was fantastic! Sunday night the guys spent the night at church, and the ladies stayed at Jason and Heidi's house. We woke up, at 4AM, well most of us woke up, while others were awake all night! And got to church at 5 AM and prayed until 5:30. We all packed into the vans and headed up to Monarch. My van was the best! Our driver was Ray Purvis, that says it all, he is a blast. After 3 short hours we arrived at our destination. The weather was overcast and the snow was falling, everyone got their gear on full of anticipation, and we headed up the hills. People were on the bunny hill, and the big hills. There were some major wipeouts, I didn't have as many as last year LOL, because I had great teachers! I actually learned how to go fast and stop, instead of just falling and flying down the hill before I take out the people in front of me! :) So I had a blast this year. Lunch time came around and everyone went in the vans to eat, then after lunch we headed up again. Some of the wipeouts included Stephen hitting a jump and breaking his board, then EJ broke his arm, and he didn't even know until we got back that night! Yeah, I said THAT NIGHT! At 8 o' clock! I don't know how he couldn't of known his arm was broken! Anyway, at 4PM we got in the vans and headed back, this time the ride was LONG as I'll get out! Everyone was tired, and broken into a thousand pieces. I became extremely sick after the first hour and I thought I was going to die! I had a fever of 100! But I survived, we stopped at McDy's and Taco Bell on the way back. Then we got to church at 8PM and went home to crash. It was a blast, everyone got sick though LOL, but it was all worth it.

Last Saturday we had an awesome concert in youth! The Brotherhood and Exodus performed. They were 80 teens there! Lots of new people and new converts bringing their friends! The bands did an awesome job, Mr.Rudy gave his testimony, then Jason pulled the altar call. About 7 or 8 teens went down to get saved! Praise God! This Saturday we will be showing the final movie to "The Big Three" movie series, "Image of the Beast". The first two movies we had a good crowd, and people were saved, and they still come! So tomorrow we pray that it will be even better! I am so excited for what God is doing, these teens are on fire! Please be in prayer for us! Thanks :)

Here are the pics from our wonderful night in honor of Lain leaving. I know I took forever, but here they are finally! Lain had the idea of dressing up in our prom dresses and going out to dinner before she left. Thursday night, January 11th, we all met at the Jones' house and got all dolled up for a great night! Everyone was absolutley gorgeous! We took pics at the house, then piled into a van and headed over to TGIF. We ate some great food, and had a blast with people looking at us like we were crazy, we even got to witness! We stayed there for a very long time, and had too much fun! Well not really! Then P. Paul and Mrs. Emily picked us up and we headed back to church at about 10 at night! It was foggy and snowy and freezing! But it was GREAT! Well hope that sums it up, sort of! Thanks to P. Paul and Emily for putting up with us, and P. Jones and Marie for letting us dirty their house :) And last but not least....thanks to Lain, for being the greatest friend any of us girls could have! We love you so much! Thanks for the great idea!!!!!

New Years Day Sledding!

New Years Day a few of the youth met up at cottonwood park to hit the hills! We stayed at the park for a while, but the hills there weren't that great, so we decided to move up the street to a BIGGER and BETTER hill. I emphasize BIG! Some people were a little afraid to go down the hill at first, but we went anyway and it was a blast! The walk up wasn't too fun though, we would take breaks every 5 steps practically! Maybe we are just out of shape...but i'll just go with it was a very steep hill! The guys were snowboarding and sledding off their man made ramp, which was cool. There were some crazy wipeouts though! Poor Stephen rolled about 7 times down the hill, he couldn't stop! Then us girls, were all over the place on that hill! It was fun, only a few of the girls actually sledded though. We had wipeouts too, they were so much fun! Lol We stayed from 11 to 1:30 i think. It wasn't too cold, unless you sat around and didn't move, then it was cold. But we all had fun, I loved it! Can't wait to do it again!

As most of you know we had a crazy snow storm the Wednesday before Christmas! All of us girls were stranded at the Mohrmann household all day and all night. We had a blast, we made 5 second snowangels (Jenna!) played games, ate food and sat around. All day we kept debating if we should go sledding or not, so we finally made a decision at like one! Lain, Nicole, Gabby, Emily and I went down the street to a park while everyone else stayed home and watched Lord of the Rings! So sledding....or Lord of the Rings.......where's the competition?!?!?!?! Lol Anyway we went sledding and it was a winter wonderland!! There was snow coming from every direction and some strong wind. And there were drifts that went up to our knees! Nikki and I jumped in one and got stuck! Alainna had to come rescue us! Little Emily was funny too, falling all over the place! We did some sledding/snowboarding down the hill a couple of times. And we attacked Emily and threw her down the hill a lot because she was making fun of us! That crazy little child! We were sledding for about two hours, everyone at home thought we wouldn't last 5 minutes! Suckers! It was the best!

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" 2006

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" was the name of our play this year. Yes, we had to put good ol' Scrooge to rest. We had a good, LONG run with him lol. This year's play was about the 1940's and the attack on Pearl Harbor that started World War II, and the golden days of radio. We did it three nights in a row, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night! Every night was packed with people, new and old, and every night the alters were packed! Being in the play was a complete blast! We got to dress up very fancy, and do our hair and makeup. I think we should bring the 40's style back! Does anyone agree?! Well hope the pics are good! Sorry so short!

Thanksgiving in AZ

Wowsers that was a lot of pics to put up! Sheesh! Now that Thanksgiving is over and done with, I finally decide post about it! Lol Well my trip to AZ was very fun! We were there for a week, counting 2 days of LONG, LONG travel! We got there Tuesday night, I met up with Lisa and Melody to eat at Don Juan's (such a funny name) and my parents met up with the Gregory's and probably played spade's until 2 in the morning! Like every night we were there! They are too wild for me! I was asleep by 11 0r 12 every night, us old people have to get out beauty sleep :) haha. Wednesday we just hung out and then went to church that night. Church was very good, they have about 35 people! Which was encouraging to see. Thursday was Thanksgiving of course! Good ol' Turkey day!!! The food was excellent! Especially eating with all the messy little kids! Gotta love it! At about 5pm Lisa and I went to the movies and saw Happy Feet. I do not recommend that movie for little kids!!! We were very disappointed! Then Friday(Black Friday, so they call it) for the first time in my life, we went shopping! It was true craziness! I was lost for about 20 minutes in JcPenny's! Note to self, never split up on black Friday in a mall you are not familiar with! Not smart! But we did get some awesome sales! It was tiring and chaotic, but still fun! That night, for dinner we went to the Gould's for some authentic...Mrs. Denise food! She had mexican food, chinese food, and american food! Very good! We also went to go and see their new church! It is very nice, they have two seperate buildings. One for the church and the other for nursery and fellowships. Saturday we went on outreach, and ran into some crazy folks! From drunk guys, and Muslims that sounded like they were from the Bronx, when they weren't, to funny little kids, it was a good outreach! Then Saturday night we went to the movies again and saw Flushed Away. Now I DO recommend that movie, it was cute. Finally Sunday came around, we had our last service, which was very good. We went out to eat at Claim Jumper's after service, with the Gregory's and Rick and April Webb's familia. Good times! Then we were off! To the extremely LLLLOOOONNNGGG drive! Going home seemed like a longer dive than going there. When we finally arrived in Pueblo, it was weird because the whole way home it was hot, and windy and then all the sudden we saw this big cloud, it looked like Colorado was bombed or something! We drove into it to find out it was only fog, but it was like a wall. When we went into the fog it was like frosty, and cold! So weird! Then it started snowing! Funny stuff. Well all in all the trip was great! The Gregory's are doing awesome! The kids are so funny, I love them! Chase and Caleb were the craziest ones! Then Chastity crossing her eyes the whole time, it's cute, and little Chris was funny as always! I had a blast! But I am so glad to be home in the snowy cold for Christmas! Gee, that was a lot to write!

I'm so late on this post! These are pics of the Parents Dinner we had on the 11th. Yeah, I know...I'm about 3 weeks late! LOL Oh well, here it is now! Well the dinner was absolutley fantastic! Mostly all the teens and leaders were dressed up in some of their very best! So many parents and teens came out! The whole youth sanctuary was packed! The youth choir did some great songs! The band Da Brotherhood did a few songs, both did a tremendous job! Very powerful! Nate Jones gave his testimony. Then we ate, ate, ate! All the leaders did a great job on making the food! Thank you! I know this is short, but the dinner really was fun! It was so long ago that I can't remember details! This is what happens children when your being a slacker! Don't be a slacker! This post goes out to my good friend...Dear Kristin :) I know, I know I am always talking about her and her psychoness! Only because it's true!!! She's great though! I would just like to show everyone one more craziness thing that she has done. So here's the story...At work we always make different backgrounds for our computer desktops, and of course I am in the Christmas spirit! Wishing it would snow, so I make a background of a happy snowman :) Isn't it happy? Well the hater Kristin, Ms. Scrooge! Well not really, she's just not as happy as most of us are about this season! So I come to work this morning, all happy and ready for the day, and I sign in and guess what I see?!?!?!?!?!?! My poor snowman melting, by some psycho little cartoon kid! AHHH! It was so sad, she claims she had a moment of frustration about all of our happy Christmas spirit! Don't know about that excuse! Although it was still hilarious! What can I say about halloween, except that I hate it! Dumb devil! But it's always good at our church because people get saved! This year we had our annual Harvest Carnival. There were games, prizes, food and funny looking people all over :) I didn't get to see a lot of people in their costumes because I was in the haunted house...which is a totally different story! This year we took people through hell, much like every year lol. But we had a room where Collins and Jenna were shot, and big devils propelling through the air!! Two of the pics up there are of Kristin trying it out. Then the hell's a party room (which it wasn't a party!) Then we had the room where Kristin and I had our "tongues" cut off because we were supposed to be liars. It was really a cow tongue! And it was humongo!!!!! And GROSSO!!!!! It stunk and...just ewww. So we had to wipe fake blood all over our face after it was cut off, it was fun! We also had a hallway that they made, it was pitch black, you couldn't see anything in front of you! We had two off those hallways actually. The other one was called outer darkness where they had people screaming in rooms everywhere. And the whole time you were walking through the haunted house you had Joe Owens who was dressed up like a psycho! Chasing you around with a chainsaw!!!!!!!!!! It was great! So many teens and adults were scared! It was funny. The funniest people were Jerome and P.Dustin. P.Dustin was acting like he wasn't scared...but we all know he was! I saw you jump!! haha and Jerome...I don't wanna bust him out or anything, but all I can say is I have never heard that high of a pitch come from a guy before! hahahahaha! So after they went through the haunted house the guides led them into the prayer room and they had altar-call. So After all that craziness...there's more but that would take too long to write! About 300 people came through! And about 80 were saved!!! The fake blood and sore throats from so much screaming was totally worth it!!!!!!!! The Carnival started at 5:30 and was suppose to end at 8, but we didn't get out until like 9, because the line was so long! All in all...what a great night! Because at the end of the day, people were saved!! I would also like to point out to Jess Mohrmann...two posts in one day! WHAT NOW?!?!?!?!

Here I am, finally updating!!!! Took long enough Chantel!! lol Well on Oct 28th, Saturday night, we went to the Patterson's church for youth. We were there like an hour and a half before it actually started, because we thought it started at 6 but it started at 7 so we got there at 5:30...So everyone just sat around and talked or played pool, and video games or ate. Then we finally got started! Da Brotherhood started us out with like 6 songs, they did awesome! Then their drama team did a really powerful skit about a girl who died and went to hell. It was really good, scared everyone, which is good. And then we had some testimonies and then alter-call came around and three teens got saved!!! After that P.Patterson called for teens to come down who have a hard time with compromising and staying strong. Tons of teens went down and were prayed for. After it was over a bunch of us went outside and had the BEST snowball fight ever! It was soooooo fun but really cold...duh! Maybe we should dress for winter! We only live in Colorado! :D Then after that a bunch of us headed over to Wendy's to grub. And that was also fun...huh Kristin?!?!?! lol Well thats it! Sorry i take forever! Some of us have jobs to doooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jk

Arrggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Monday (yesterday) we had a pirate scavenger hunt in drama! Everyone had to dress up their best like a pirate and then go around town to different peoples houses trying to bargain with them for some boody (that means treasure in pirate talk I guess :D) The point of the game was to get the most expensive treasure by the end of the game. We started off with a video about jobs and a little kids book. First we went to Mrs. Janine's house and bargained for a pic of baby Andre (which Josh kept telling everyone it was a pic of Bradngelina's baby to make it worth more money LOL) and a piece of chalk. Josh isn't a very good bargainer LOL. After the Pacheco's we went to Shervonn Johnson's house and somebody bargained for TOILET PAPER! They weren't very good bargainers either!! Then off to Chad and Marie's house! Which was very funny because they were shocked with us and Josh and Andrew sang some crazy loud song! We ended up with a hat and a picture frame, which is better than some TP! After the Purvis' it was to the Jones! P.Dustin and Rachelle, they had the best reaction. They were laughing and invited us in, and took a bunch of pics. We ended up with a HEATER! A nice one too, the best treasure we got so far. Then we left there and went to the Collins' house and my parents were there too. We bargained for a 13 INCH TV! And got it of course! Because we are good like that! :) Then we were done because we ended up with the most expensive treasure. We all got back into the van and had to figure out some riddle to see where we were off to next, and it ended up being Michelle's downtown. And of all days the Grises' were there! The whole family! They got to see us in our pirate get-up! They kept taking pics of us too, and Josh and Andrew sung their song for them. After all that excitement! We finally got our food! A humongeous FLAMING mountain of ice cream! Literally flaming, we got to blow it out like b-day cake! It was the best ice cream I've ever had, and there were seconds, thirds, and fourths! Then the night was ended and we all headed back to church to go home! Then at home I was messing with my dog and put this little turtle neck thing on him, it was really funny :) That explains the pic of him. The whole night was extremely fun! And that's that Jack!

Where do I begin?!?!?! Well the week started off really good, we had Pastor Emil, from Slovakia, preach an extremely powerful message sunday morning, I wasn't in there because I had Sunday School, but from what everyone told me, it was awesome. Then Pastor Guittierrez (sp?) from Mexico, preached Sunday night on how we need to work for souls! It was really good. Then Monday night P.Jones preached, also another awesome message on "Ministry". Then Tuesday came, the beginning of the daytime services....I'm sad to say that I wasn't in any services in the day time, because I had to work...but it's all good, you do what you gotta do! But I heard that they were great. Tuesday night I was in Sonshine kids, that's why there is a lot of pics of little kids :)Then Wednesday I think I was in Sonshine kids again, so Thursday night was a good night. P. Alpha Lushima preached...in French! Jenna was very excited about that. He preached on "Vision." Where yours is at, and where it should be. Then Friday night P.Jones preached again on "Heavens Miracle's for Earth's Failure's", he preached out of Jeremiah 29:11....Yeah Jess!!!!!!!!!! Then after service they announced the families getting sent out! Chad & Marie Purvis, to Montrose, CO., Blaine & Angela Rada to Sierra Vista, AZ., J.B. & Gail Sanchez to Brighton, CO., and Kyle & Whitni Bland to Farmington, NM. As you can tell Friday night was an awesome service! The whole week was exciting!

Friday after church all the youth went to MR.BIGGS for bowling, until 1 in the morning! Yes, we go there a lot.....but it is always FANTASTIC! It was a blast of course! Then the rest of these pics are just random. Some are from saturday, a bunch of us GIRLS went to Skate City....Which I haven't been there since I was like 7.....It was pretty darn fun. There was this little boy named Ryan, "the birthday boy." LOL he was hilarious! We didn't even know him and he kept talking to me and Alainna, and he showed us his Superman costume he got for his b-day...He was every excited about it (his pic is up there with me and lain) And Alainna requested the chicken dance song from Jimmy Neutron...ahhh goodness...It was very interesting! After a BILLION hours of roller skating!!!! We went to Arby's!!!! Gotta love Arby's! It was good stuff after all that work! So that explains the pics of us in the bathroom and with food in our mouth. Then after Arby's we went to Jenna's house and SHE WAS LOCKED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once again! It never ends with her! So we sat in the car for a while...And Kristin had a MENTAL BREAKDOWN!!!!! I think she was sleep deprived or something but there's a pic of her breakdown up there LOL. After that we got bored and went to the park for a while to waste time and then we went back and decided to break in.....SSH!!! Don't tell Mrs. Janine! We got in though...with a screwdriver. Don't ask how, because I don't even know...Jenna is just skilled like that I guess :0)

Saturday night we had youth service and J.B. preached on how we need to step out, and not be influenced or get stuck in a rut. The service was really good, a lot of new teens were there and a couple of them got saved! Then after service we went to G.O.'s house for his b-day party and for Barbara's too. Big 18!!!! We had some good food! Me and Alainna decided to run around the block, well more like sprint around the block like a bunch of idiots! Because the next day at church....not good, not good at all! Your going to have to ask her about that if you want to know. But anyway there were tons of people there.....I felt bad for Mrs. Sharon :( sorry if we dirtied your house or kept you up too late!!!!! But it was still a blast, THANK YOU! Well I hope that sums up the whole week! Oh yes, I had to put all of the pics on a seperate post, I guess this one has to much stuff on it :(

Youth Rally

These are pics of the Youth Rally that we had on the 23rd. Bright and early Saturday morn we piled into a bunch of vans and went to Mr.Biggs!!!!!!!!! It was a blast, first we ate some pizza, ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!!! And then we went to the activities.....there were Go-Carts, Laser Tag, thses robot things...i don't remember what they were called but they were really fun...you had to try and kill the other peoples robots, and then they had mini-golf, a pool table, and a lot more. The go-carts were really fun, we kept getting introuble for bumping people and running them off the road, and the laser tag was GREAT we were against like 12 little kids...THEY WERE LIKE LITTLE MIDGETS EVERYWHERE! I'm happy to say though that we smoked em! I felt bad after because we overpowered them hahaha but it was still the bomb. Then after all the excitment at Mr.Biggs we went back to church at like 4 or somthing...can't really remember...but we had prayer and stuff and then the service! Which was very good, there were so many visitors that came with us to Mr.Biggs and then to youth which was awesome. The service was so powerful we had the youth choir sing two songs and then Jason preached a really good message, and everyone went to the altar for either salvation or deliverance from depression or jst for prayer. Many new teens went down and got saved, and i'm happy to say they still come!!!!!!! YAY! So the Youth Rally was soooooo good! It was great to have all the different churches come down, we had teens from both of the Pueblo churches, from La Junta, from Colorado Springs both churches and I think that's it. Thanks Jason and Heidi and everyone else who planned the Rally! We can't wait to do it again!!!!!

Back To School Concert 06'

Soooooo on September 23rd we had a concert in youth for people going back to school...HAHAHAHA! I'm done with school!!!!!! woo hoo! The cost was three dollars, unless you brought a friend and then it was free....so some people got in free. B.A.S.I.C. did a few songs and so did Da Brotherhood, and then our youth choir sung for the first time....on short notice!!! But it was good. Then we had a drama and then we had the altercall and then lot's and lot's of PIZZA! There were a lot of visitors about 15 or 20....and about 10 went down and got saved! The altercall was really powerful...and some of the teens who went down and got saved have been coming and they came to the youth rally this past saturday which i will post about that later.......so anyways that is preety (HA BRIANNA) exciting they have been coming. Well thats the concert, it was great!

These are just some random pics that I took. The two of David and Jenna outside are from Saturday, we had a clean up day in the back storage area....it looks really good now. Mrs.Debbie and a whole bunch of people have been working on it for a while now. And we went and helped Saturday afternoon, cleaning and organizing and building a ton of stuff, like shelves and walls, it looks totally different.... So BIG PROPS to Mrs. Debbie!!!!!!! And the other ones are at church in sonshine kids, and then my puppy. soooooo YUP!

Sticks & Stones 06'

We recently have been doing a play called Sticks & Stones. It's about suicide (cutting) and family violence. These are pics of the play when we did it in Greeley on August 26th, I know they are kinda blurry....It's not my fault! Someone else took pics for me..cough Shyy...cough...It's all your fault! j/k So it went really good, we left the springs at about 10:30 and when we got there we went on outreach for about an hour. My group went to the college, there were lot's of people! 'Young adults' They were preety receptive though. Then after outreach we ate.....Greeley church makes the best food! And then prayer, and then our group called The Brotherhood (Jared, Stephen and Daniel) performed a couple songs, and did really good and then the play! Altercall came around and about 4 people went down and got saved. One guy who went down was the same guy that we talked to on outreach so we were preety excited. It was really good, we also did the play at camp, and next Friday we are doing it in Pueblo (P.Darrins church) then the Friday after that we are doing it in Breakaway!! Woo hoo! That will be exciting, Breakaway is good stuff. Well hope you like the blurry pics lol. Keep us in prayer!

Hahaha oops, I accidently posted my blog before I put pics up...you can tell I'm new to this....well camp was soooo fun! We had a great time at our new camp..Horncreek. I liked it better than Quaker Ridge believe it or not....especially the chapel (ampatheater sp?) It was great though, God moved, and we had a blast, and the talent shows were hilarious. The gym was cool too..or whatever it was called. There was alot of new kids, like Nate, the one in blue that Victor and G.O. are holding up...he was funny (little hustler lol) It's okay.....Chris Kelley did an aweome job and so did the leaders and Jason and Heidi. The food was great too! They served us! We didn't even have to get up! Go Paulie (sorry jess lol) Chester!!!!!! and Ted! You guys rocked! The services were amazing, the last night lasted 3 hours! And the praise team did really good. And then we had a play called Sticks & Stones, it's about suicide and domestic violence, it which was powerful. A lot of teens got delivered from suicide, it was really good. There was a new feel at camp this year, a better feel. Well all in all camp was a blast! So here are the pics!!!!

Hello, everyone! Jess has inspired me to create a blog to show everyone what's been goin down here in the 719! So here it is! Nothing has been goin on latley, well there has been i just didn't take pictures! not smart :) So the most recent thing that i have pics of is camp, which was totally awesome!
